Another week, two more comprehensive victories for the Arsenal. The train rolls on with 11 consecutive victories in all competitions and it’s time to rejoice.
We’re off to a flying start, one would have to go back to the Invincibles season to think of one to compare. There is much work yet to be done, but the belief and spirit of the squad is something tangible that must be acknowledged. Many say it is too early to get carried away but why not some cautious optimism?
I became an Arsenal fan because I was a dreamer. A dreamer who believed in our football and the magic that Wenger could get out of his squad and we were rewarded with glorious years full of trophies. Many a moon has passed since those days and his believers have dwindled, but with the squad at his disposal, Arsene is the man I believe can get the most out of these players.
I’ve maintained that we’d need a perfect start in the league to have a chance and we’ve been near enough to that to convince in the early season. If this squad can get some experience at the top of the table and learn how to be pace-setters there is no reason to believe they won’t be able to sustain, squad depth aside.
